Simon started his career in legal IT when he joined Tikit in 1997. Amongst other projects, he led the early UK implementations of InterAction, and became the first InterAction Certified Professional outside the USA. Combining his knowledge of InterAction with his software development skills, and in response to customer requests, he started developing a range of add-ons for InterAction. The resulting "Plus Suite for InterAction" was a great success, with customers particularly valuing the email broadcast functionality provided by the E-Merge module at a time when email marketing by law firms was just becoming mainstream.
In 2003, Tikit launched ReAction Server - a product designed and developed by Simon to perfectly complement E-Merge. The combination of E-Merge and ReAction Server was labelled as the eMarketing Solution and quickly gained acceptance as the essential eMarketing tool for InterAction customers. It's unique design enables InterAction customers to allow their contacts to have secure, direct access to their own contact data via the internet. This provides business development teams with significant cost savings and efficiency gains through removing the need for tedious and error-prone manual processes.
By 2009, Tikit's products for InterAction were in use at over 200 sites in the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, with customers including many of the largest law firms and professional services firms in the world.
Simon founded fellSoft in October 2009.
